When you make a purchase from our store, as part of our buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you provide to us, such as your name, address, and email address.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, which allows us to obtain more details about the browser and operating system you are using.

Email Marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products, and other updates.

SMS Marketing (if applicable): By providing your phone number during checkout or through a signup form, you agree to receive transactional SMS messages (order tracking, abandoned cart reminders) as well as promotional offers from Chiens Royaux.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc.. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage system, databases, and the general Shopify application. Your data is stored on a secure server protected by a firewall.

Payment

If you complete your purchase through a direct payment gateway, Shopify stores your credit card data. This information is encrypted in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase transaction. Once completed, the transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways comply with PCI-DSS standards managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of companies such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

ARTICLE 5 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Generally, the third-party providers we use will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us.

COOKIES

Below is a list of cookies we use. We have listed them here so that you may choose whether you wish to allow them or not.

  • _session_id – unique session identifier, allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc.)
  • _shopify_visit – no data held, persists for 30 minutes since the last visit, used by our website provider’s internal statistics tracker to record the number of visits
  • _shopify_uniq – no data held, expires at midnight (depending on the visitor’s location) the next day, calculates the number of visits to a store per unique customer
  • cart – unique identifier, persists for 2 weeks, stores information about your shopping cart
  • _secure_session_id – unique session identifier
  • storefront_digest – unique identifier, used to determine whether the current visitor has access if the store is password protected
